NRCLD research

NRCLD brings together many voices to address the complex array of issues in the learning disabilities field. Our researchers join local and national advisory groups consisting of parents, practitioners, and professionals from a host of disciplines to contribute a research-based perspective to continuing debates in the LD field.

We will analyze existing methods of identifying students with learning disabilities and will study state and local policies to determine factors that explain the differences in the number and characteristics of students identified with learning disabilities from state to state, from district to district within a state, and even from school to school within a district.
