NRCLD has undertaken a number of activities investigating responsiveness-to-intervention as a component of SLD assessment and determination procedures.
NRCLD has developed this kit to help you navigate changes related to specific learning disability determination and responsiveness to intervention
Drawing on NRCLD's work to identify, describe, and evaluate responsiveness-to-intervention practices in elementary schools, we present real-life examples of components of RTI service delivery models.
In April 2006, NRCLD brought together top researchers and educational practitioners to explore implications of changes in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004). The conference consisted of two parts: information sessions and workshop. Papers, PowerPoint presentations, and other materials from the information sessions and workshop are available here.
In December 2003, NRCLD sponsored a two-day Responsiveness-to-Intervention Symposium, featuring speakers, discussants, and participants who represented the wide diversity of individuals with a vested interest in SLD determination issues. Advocates, instructional staff, researchers, and state-level education officials brought their collective and considerable expertise to the discussions. Papers, PowerPoint presentations, and other materials from the symposium are available here.

The Responsiveness-to-Intervention Model Site research is an activity we have undertaken to inform our work. In this project, we are working with the nation's six Regional Resource Centers (RRCs) to identify and evaluate potential model site schools that use RTI in the process of SLD determination.
