Erin Lolich is a literacy specialist at Tualatin Elementary School in the Tigard-Tualatin School District, just southwest of Portland, Ore. She serves as the chair of her school's Effective Behavior & Instructional Support (EBIS) committee, as well as the district's Learning Disabilities Leadership Committee and Spanish Literacy Task Force. Before taking this position, she taught K-2 special education in the Tigard-Tualatin School District, as well as in Englewood, Colo.

Erin received her B.Ed. in special education from Gonzaga University, where she was recognized as a Mary Stuart Rogers Scholar for her commitment to public service. She expects to receive her M.S. in educational administration from Portland State University in June 2007. Passionate about international education, Erin has volunteered in special education settings from Italy to India.
