Daryl Mellard, Ph.D., began his career in school psychology. Since 1982, Daryl has been a research associate with the Center for Research on Learning and director of CRL's Division of Adult Studies. In this capacity, he has been the principal investigator of many research and evaluation studies. Daryl's projects largely focus on education and employment issues for adults and involve consumers, employers, and staff in community and technical colleges, independent living centers, vocational rehabilitation, One-Stop career centers, and adult education and literacy programs. He is also a co-principal investigator with the National Research Center on Learning Disabilities (NRCLD) and a center on improving adult literacy.
Daryl serves as chair to the Kansas Task Force on Adult Literacy and Learning Disabilities. He also serves as a board of directors' officer for the local independent living center.
