Brian Miller received his bachelor of arts degree from Wartburg College and his master's degree in administration from the University of Northern Iowa. He is the principal at Jefferson Elementary School in Pella, Iowa, a K-5 building with 500 students. This is his seventh year at Jefferson. In 2002-2003, the school received the FINE (First In the Nation in Education) award for its reading program. Prior to starting this position, Brian was a K-6 principal and 7-12 athletic director in Minneota, Minnesota for three years. The first seven years of his education career were spent as a teacher. He taught third grade for six years and fourth grade for one year in Greene, Iowa.
